A certain irony to the bbc closing 6music to increase quality when 6music is already quality and fulfilling the bbc remit cheaply.

Proposing shuting bbc 6music when rubbish like 1xtra is allowed to stay. No logic at all.

So the Torys want to freeze the licence fee and the bbc must get rid of the money making magazines, so reduced income left. 6music

Seems the idea of doing more for less with the bbc is exactly the tory strategy which got the other public services in a mess before.

Still irked by the article in the Times today but Murdoch hates the bbc so he'll be happy. The rest of us who love 6music won't.
