Friday 31 December 2010

Not impressed with 2011 so far. Feels just like 2010. Must be the cuts!
Damed fireworks have started already. Oi! Shut it! There are people trying to get drunk here!
MORE BEER!!!!
BEER!!!!!
The uncomfortable feeling of enforced fun depressingly heading my way. Leave me alone to have fun when I want it!
Listen people! If you order a jacket potato, eat the damn jacket! Freaks!
Think the old biddies on the bus have been at the xmas sherry...
Yeah! 6th Day of Xmas! Half way through the celebrating according to new calendar! New Year and Twelfth Night to go! :-)
Cameron says, "Cuts are tough but necessary". I wonder if Cromwell said the same? :-)

Thursday 30 December 2010

Ah....Bach! radio3
Going to prepare some puy lentils for dinner/supper :-) Very Yum!
Brilliant second episode of oldharrysgame on radio4. Now switched to radio7 for the Goons Christmas Pudding episode :-)
Off out for a bit on the bike. :-)
Joy! Goon's International Christmas Pudding on radio7 later! That ought to brighten up the evening! :-)
Woo Hoo! Hot water again! Boiler on its last legs or pipes as they say :-(
Waiting for gas man. No sign. Waagghhh!!!!
"See that! That's a Cowell wink! You'll be alright!" @jakeyapp on fine form! Hillarious! :-) 6music

Wednesday 29 December 2010

Cat has discovered straps on bag can be a great source of amusement. Wild horses couldn't drag her away from her new joy.
Merry 5th Day of Xmas to one and all! Hope you're all still partying! :-) Remember New Year and Twelfth Night to come! :-)
Just back from Chipping Sodbury pup crawl wth neighbour. Desire for veggy kebab is growing.... verydrunk
Bike battery flatter than a witches tit. Tried to get it going this morning without sucess. Not a very Christmasy gift!
Happy 4th Day of Xmas to one and all! Hope you've had today's mince pie and remember 8 more days to go until Twelfth Night! :-)
Feeling good this morning. Great sleep. Not feeling tired...yet and heard england have retained the ashes. Woo Hoo!

Tuesday 28 December 2010

House warming up to uncomfortable levels just to get some hot water. Going to sleep very badly again tonight. Grrrr!!!!
Boiler on the blasted blink again. Hot water gone bye bye unless I stick the heating on first. Damn Damn!
Just opened a bottle of brisbeerfactory No. 7 beer. Delicious! Just what a Bank Holiday required. :-)
Going to have a hot bath to relax. Faced the swaming crowds today at Cribbs Causeway. Concluded women shopping in sales are pack animals.
Just counting up the bottles on whisky around here. 6 unopened ones. Hmm... Crack open some Highland Park tonight I think.
Good to see the Royal Institute Lectures back on the bbc. Looks like a good one too today :-)
Welcome one and all to the third day of Christmas. Hope everyone's having a good time and eating those mince pies :-)

Monday 27 December 2010

500 for 7! That'll do me. Time for bed now ashes
Lack of sleep catching up with me. Shall seek out coffee and cake someplace.
'Little Donkey' running around my head like an annoying earworm.
Stuck in a traffic jam par excellence...
And she said...and I said...and she said... SHUT UP!
Decided to hop on the bus to the centre. More winging women complaining about nothing. Sigh.
Looking at the weather page, I may yet be able to get on on the bike this week. Blimey!
Snow and ice almost gone from the street today. Last night still a snowy icy landscape. This morning a wet and gloomy apocolypse.
Time for a fresh hot cup of coffee and some cheese on toast to calm my nerves and wake me up.
Terrible nights sleep. Some very scary dreams in there someplace. Feeling very tired and exhausted. Can't understand why.

Sunday 26 December 2010

Astonishing the condems are cutting childrens books now. No doubt reading is a priviliage for those with money. Lost the plot - literally!
Excellent. Omellete, assorted cheses, salad and chutney. Cup of tea coming soon and a chocolate digestive if room left. Breakfast is good!
Cake suitably creamed up and dosed with a generous supply of xmas strawberries. Lovely!
Looked at the england score in the ashes and thought, oh dear. Looked at the australian score and thought Weeeeeeee!!!
3 duck egg omellete in a short bit. A little luxury on this cold Sunday.
Oh dear. itunes 12 days of xmas off to a bad start. Cheryl Cole. Don't know much about her but far too manufactuered kiddie-pop for me.

Saturday 25 December 2010

Feel bloated. No room for beer. Have to use whisky instead. Oh the pity :-)
However a very excellent programme about Rob Serling and the Twilight Zone on radio7.
Nothing of much quality on TV all day today. Evening seems to be worse of all. I guess Xmas scheduling not so important any more.
Berry cake looks good. LIttle scorched due to over hot oven but still good. Bread on its way and started to cook some spuds :-) Lovey!
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is pretty cool xmas stuff on radio7 right now! :-)
Right. Cake in its oven. Bread in its oven. Beer in my glass. brisbeerfactory Hefe to start with me thinks.
Getting hungry. Cake making does that. Might have to think of some food soon. Nowt since before morning bath this early morn.
Sad to hear Elisabeth Beresford has died. Childhood woudn't be the same without the Wombles.
Nothing says selfish more than the phase "I didn't get what I wanted for Xmas". Shame.
Bollox! Just realised oven was set to grill and scorced the top of my cake. Need to start again now! Grrrr...
Thinking Beeker sould get an award for his acting skills on muppetchristmascarol. :-) Such versitility :-)
Fozzywig Christmas Party! Brilliant! :-) muppetchristmascarol

Friday 24 December 2010

Opened up a bar of white chocolate. A delicious passion. Mmmmm.... .... itsmychocolateandilleatitifiwantto
Hey! DFS have a sale on already! Go figure! :-)
Am wondering if I should open some Xmas ale. Could yes. Should? Hmm...
Just listened again to @6musicslev and @hawkshow with the Nativity Panto. Simply brilliant! And of course me at the start :-) 6music
Underappreciated heros of 2010 http://ping.fm/GJTUg
Think about all that food you're going to throw away because you shopped like a moron this year without limits!
Tomorrow is going to be very cold I read. Don't forget to think about, and if you can help, anyone homeless at this xmastime.
Lost count of the number of dead on this Naria film. So much killing!
Bored bored bored bored bored! So much to do and yet no interest!
Shop dude did not charge for baby turnips! Christmas spirit indeed!
Enjoying a couple of pints of Festivity at the Salamander in Bath. Nice!
Ah...email of confirmation from openuniversity for next years module. Weeeee!!!!

Thursday 23 December 2010

Clegg on record saying he fears condem coalition will loose respect over winging libdems. LOL! Too late Cleggy! http://ping.fm/uk7tR
Right...suppertime! What to have? Hmm...
Catching up with oldharrysgame from radio4 on iplayer. A fantastic comedy which needs to be back on more often.

Wednesday 22 December 2010

Just heard 'little red monkey' on ipod. Disturbing. No wonder the 50s were screwed up.
Osborne out of touch? No idea how normal people live? LOL!! http://ping.fm/SsmbK
If I was a cyncial person I would think the present state of insider comments from libdem MPs was there to increase their popularity. hmm
Right. v2 of newsletter off out and now to the kitchen for supper....

Tuesday 21 December 2010

Cheese and tasty pumpkin bread for breakfast washed down with a fresh hot cup of time. delicious!
Time for bed...tired now... zzzzzzzz
Hand hurts very badly after a few hours on laptop trackpad. Owwwww!!!! whatweputupwithforothers
If condem's C....sorry..Hunt gives Murdoch ownership of sky after today it will probably look like an old boys sorry pat on back.
Michael Palin's version of Dead Souls on iplayer is sure genius :-)
I spy with my little eye...a box of 12 @brisbeerfactory bottles. Woo Hoo! One for each day of Xmas me thinks! :-)
Just made bus by walking in the road with 2kg of flour in bag for balance...lol
Irony is for Cable is his convictions on murdoch is correct. sky in the hands of someone who already owns vocal snoozepapers is bad news.
haha...are we looking at casualty no. 2 for the condem monkeys? And both of them libdem ones too. Flying to close to Tory flame?
condem govern. could be Maoist in some areas as Campbell suggests however BBC chose their photos well here...lol...http://ping.fm/bq7jY

Monday 20 December 2010

Too many clouds to see the moon this morning. Will try again in another 3000 years.
Almost missed my bus. Bus driver pretending I didn't flag him down. Ran to next stop. Knackered.
Looking forward to the Lunar Eclipse this morning through the ice bus windows. :-)
Not as cold as yesterday. Koshka plodded out into the snow. Hugging a cup of lady grey for me.
Hand feeling much better this morning. Not 100% and bending still painful but getting there. Must be more careful! Note to self...
Owww...the high speed choo choo passing through Tory heartlands is to be redirected away. Can't have house values falling can we?
Hand is now shaking on its own accord. Should I be worried? eek!
Wondering if the remaining bottle of @brisbeerfactory Ultimate Stout should be drunk now or a keeper until later given no delivery today.
Going to have a relaxing bath and try to forget my rubbling belly and painful wrist.
Hooowwllll!!!! Wrist hurts!!!!!
Quite true. The TPA is very shy about saying who funds its dodgy research. http://ping.fm/BkYRq
Bus journey seems fine so far aside from painful wrist. Hoping its not broken again.
Owwwwwwwww! Pain! Unbelievable pain!
Fearful of slipping on the snow and hurting my healed broken wrist, I have slipped on the ice and hurt my wrist!
now this is winter! -6 and snow. Bring it on!

Sunday 19 December 2010

Delicious cruncy carrots! Nom Nom!
Rory Bremner funny as ever http://ping.fm/k6q8D
I must be getting old. Just put the heating on for the third time this winter. Burning up Russian gas. I am very bad.
Forgot the Xmas Around Europe concerts are on radio3. Tuning in now :-) Finland me thinks :-)

Saturday 18 December 2010

Just remembered I was going to buy some pillows today. OOppsie!
But nevertheless, I want one of those nifty new lightcycles! So cool!
Just watched Kermode's review of tron at http://ping.fm/c55ZY Clearly a lot of what he says is true about it.
Streets weirdly deserted. Bus empty. Tesco quite. Did I miss something?
Bus stangely empty. Perhaps they all came to watch Tron?
Small lad trying to buy sweets beyond the money he had. Gave shop keeper the rest. No thank you from boy. mannersarefree
Quick half of Fireside before heading home...
Trousers and uber expensive shirt bought for half price. Lovely!
enjoying a spud-u-like. Astonishing wastage where disposable dishes are used instead of washing up real ones. Tasty food though.
Tron was enjoyable nonsense. unconvinced about 3d yet.
About to watch Tron in 3D..ooo...
Feeling tired. Need coffee recharging. And cake. Need cake too!
Despite the light dusting of snow things do look lovely in white.
has england become a little too cocky about winning the ashes? They seem to be doing quite badly presently.
Listening to the nowshow on the iplayer. @marcusbrig on great form! :-)
No. 10. Don't forget those who will have nothing this Xmas! That money you blew on booze could have bought a meal for a homeless person.
Mark Thompson advocates a Fox News like channel for the UK. Why is this man running the BBC? http://ping.fm/xo0F4
No. 9 Try going for a walk instead of vegetating in front of the magic lantern box. You'll enjoy your meal more in the evening! :-)
No. 8 Keep some damn perspective! Avoid Xmas arguments by trying to elevate Dec 25 above realistic possibilities.
No. 7 Remember shops are not there to drive Xmas, they're there to help provide you with things for it. Don't be a consumer monkey!
No. 6 Remember Xmas starts on Dec. 25 and not ends there. You've got 12 days of Xmas until Jan. 6 so don't party out early!
No. 5 You don't need to spend a month's salary on food & drink for 12 days of Xmas. The shops are open as normal after the bank holidays.
No. 4 A gift has NO monetary value. The value only exists in the giving of a gift for love and friendship. Nothing more!
No. 2 Anyone self centred and selfish enough to expect a present shouldn't get one. (Children excluded)
No. 3 Anyone who considered to take a gift back to the shop to swap for 'something they really want' shouldn't get one.
Okay...xmas rules...No. 1 You don't have to buy presents for people. The nature of gifts is something you want to give, not have to give!
No sympathy for those who can't travel by car despite a dusting of snow. There are things called winter tyres you know!
Pah! Call this snow? Not even 5cm! disappointed

Friday 17 December 2010

Hotel quality duvet and matress cover making a very very cozy night! :-)
Decent olive oil is weird stuff. Goes very cloudy when cold but remains so when warm. Bit like my mind...
Cooking some tasty spaghetti and tomatoes.....again.....
Just realised I waited 6 months to get myself back on the road with my new bike and have been scuppered for 2 more by ice and cold. Damn!

Watching Estonian telly with @livestation. Need to keep up with incomprehensible languages :-)
Misssed episode 6 of bleakexpectations. Damn! Hurumble for iplayer later! :-)
Uncertain about watching the bbc4 dirkgenty remake. The Radio4 version was pretty good. Will have a mull over it while in the bath...
Woo Hoo!! @opera 11 is out! Downloading now.... :-)
Why do girls feel it necessary to eat crisps with their pinkie extended?
Sitting on the bus with a pair of cackling hens in the seats ahead of me dressed as burberry chavs. Time for ipod.

Wednesday 15 December 2010

@hawshow Just noticed a Corination Street album on itunes. Is it full of misserable frowing people arguing with each other over 12 songs?
Amazing everytime the police say no further evidence against Coulston and his NOTW pals, more and more comes out of the woodwork.
Mobile phone now upgraded to android 2.2. Not noticed any major differences so far except coloured icons where once there were not. hmm.
Last episode of Ancient Worlds on bbc2 tonight. Let's hope he remembers India, China, Africa and the Americas in the next series. :-)

Tuesday 14 December 2010

Not the best nights sleep under new duvet. Too soft and fluffy. Needs to flatten out a bit me thinks.
ouch.....cramp again on leg. Always the same leg. Always the same muscle. Pain...great pain...arrrgghhh!!!!
Just finshed making my way through the Xmas radiotimes. Not impressed. Radio better than TV, but it often is.
Just bought 'Cage against the Machine'. Best 4 and a half minutes of silence I ever paid for :-) Now that's art!!!
Ooo..new duvet and cover on bed. Feels luxurious. Cat already settled in.
Time for pie!

Tasty bottle of Firsty Ferret and some veggie mince, chilli and spaghetti! Nice! :-)
MMmmmm...hot fresh bread from d'oven. Lovely with sea salt and butter :-)
Just noticed how Ed Millaband's mouth seem to open on the side of his face not the front. Bit scary! Bit Jonathon King.
I think a visit to the shop may be in order to buy some ingredients to make cake. Cake is good! Mmm...
Back to work on Wednesday. Back to 05.00 wake up calls and icy roads. Not looking forward to it. Still there is @hawkshow and @6musicslev.

Oh yes and it still mademesmile :-) http://ping.fm/1fe6x
Enjoying brisbeerfactory's Ultimate Stout! Tis Gert Lush...as the locals would say! :-)
Time to turn the heating off again. Burning up a forest when the house is already warm isn't very responsible.
Granted it isn't yet Xmas and it's either that or xfactor rubbish on the magic lantern box tonight, bbc4 wins hands down! :-)
Ah...Patrick Stewart is back for another Shakespeare at Xmas on bbc4. Last year's Hamlet was genius. Macbeth this year :-)
Why does iTunes keep taking me to xfactor rubbish when I want Richard Wagner? Come come, apple. Sort out your indexing.
There must be a law to stop newspapers like Express and Mail making up stories like this. Isn't there? http://ping.fm/wBYuc
Drinking tea. No biscuits left.

Sad to hear Mark Lamarr is now leaving radio2. bbc need to understand it is not supposed to compete with commerical stations. A loss!
Left the heating on too long. Bloody hot now! Go figure!
No we don't have an automatic God given right to host the kicky footy thing. England's performance in South Africa proved that much!
Tired of football as well as Xmas. Don't care about either.
@brisbeerfactory Top marks on the hot beer! Went down a treat!
@dmreporter Is snow and Ice red ed plot to disrupt businesses? Lol
